Work-life balance flexibility: Work the hours that suit your schedule while taking support shifts.

Arise operates as a remote organization with no physical office. You will have a significant degree of autonomy, but your supervisor will be available to offer guidance and support you with any concerns or challenges you may encounter while on the job.
About you
If you’re interested in this position, you should possess highly developed interpersonal skills and be comfortable meeting and engaging with new people. Previous experience in mental health or a community-related role is desirable, but if you don’t have this experience, please describe how your professional or personal experience enables you to work effectively with individuals who are experiencing serious mental health challenges.
The ideal candidate is looking for a consistent and stable routine, and is available to work, with approximately 90% of this work happening on weekdays during standard business hours. If you’re a full-time student who expects to work mainly on weekends or evenings, this position may not be suitable for you.
You must be able to manage your own schedule and work independently, and be willing to commit to the role for at least 12 months to ensure a consistent and dependable service for your clients. You should also be comfortable using basic office technology, including Microsoft Teams, email, and your own phone and computer for work purposes (such as logging shifts and contacting clients).
You’ll need to have access to a car and a current driver’s license, as you’ll be responsible for transporting clients in your vehicle. However, you’ll be reimbursed for mileage expenses.
The specific skills required for this job will depend on the needs of the person who is seeking support. To increase your chances of being selected as a support worker, it’s essential to provide detailed information about yourself on your online profile, including your experiences, hobbies, and interests. This will give people who are seeking support (and their families) a better understanding of your skills and suitability for the role.
If you have worked in mental health, residential or community support, social work, youth work, or nursing, support work, could be an excellent career opportunity for you to consider.
